At this year’s events, investors, analysts and IR teams from Asia and abroad convened virtually to discuss critical issues relating to investor relations, corporate governance, shareholder needs and IR’s role in Asia-based publicly listed companies. Topics included the macroeconomic and capital market outlook for 2023, investor concerns around ESG disclosures and attracting capital in a bear market environment, among others.

As always, the highlight of each event was the awards ceremony commending excellence in IR practices. This year’s awards encompassed 24 categories for Greater China and 28 for Southeast Asia, spanning multiple market caps and sectors. Piacente clients Yum China (NYSE:YUMC and HKEX:9987) and Brii Biosciences (HKEX:2137) were award winners at the Greater China event while GoTo Group (IDX:GOTO) clinched three categories in Southeast Asia.
